It is so plain, The DS can never live up to the PSP. I dont know how much more I can emphasise that. Nintendo needs to stop making systems that are just barely better than the last one and build something really worthwhile. You can compare the PSP's capabilities and the DS's 1 or two abilities and you'll see a clear difference. An example is nintendos stupid idea of the DS light, just a tiny step farther than the first DS. I say boycot nintendo and make them crash if they cant make better systems!
