Hurricane Katrina has greatly affected everyone in the South. Each and every one of us knows someone who has been victimized by the hurricane, directly or indirectly. We are restaurant employees and are obligated to aid in the struggle to feed those left in the wake of this disaster. Most of us, as servers, have direct contact with our customers and can make the largest difference. We are willing to work one long and exhausting day as servers in the name of goodwill. We are ready to donate every penny that we make in tips to a charitable organization which will help feed those left to starve by Katrinas devastation. Hopefully the many other servers have the same compassion and realize that there are those that need our help, that there are those who would do the same for us. This is what we do as servers. We provide a service to our community.
