| Are we growing yet? I have to say there is no more a difficult a struggle than to grow. Life is full of transitional periods. For the most part we are in control of these transitional periods and when they occur and how quickly we grow.. Remember this one thing, that those who grow the quickest are those who stumble the most times. They just remember to keep getting back up. Sometimes it would seem we need external reasons for growth. Sometimes we must rely on a dream or a specific need or desire that we must first grow into before we can actually obtain it, so that our dreams and reality can become one. Dreams are a very dangerous thing. They can make you, and can break you. Sometimes we just need to believe that it all is working for the good, and it will, because all is what we make of it. It's been said that life begins when we reach the end of our own road. When we begin to see a bigger picture. When we are young we play with our toys, live in a fantasy land full of imagination and belief, we get older we have cars and school and parties and whatever, and how we think changes and we become more defined, then responsibility really begins to settle in, get married, who knows what... But really its what we do with the time before the major changes occur that most shapes who we become transition to transition. Everyday we lose a day. Progressing or not, time does progress. Seasons change. Growth is inevitable, whether it be for the better or for the worse. And grace is with us, but whats grace going to do when you die? What have you left your family with? Your peers? If you are wise you have made the best of your time and given encouragement and love and spread a hope with compassion and sincerety, and made the best of what gifts God has given. In a man's life one of two things will happen. He lives to be the encourager of what is just and right and to become more and more a light unto the world in need of light, or he settles into himself and refuses growth, and so grows regressively into his dark and weary soul. And becomes a complainer and comes full of gossip and many evil things. No matter the choices, time is a progressor. Unto what? Only what we make of it... So dare to dream a good dream and to fight a good fight. And dare to be stretched, because our goals are only as reachable as we can stretch. And in passionate pursuit of your God given dreams, remember to be an encourager of those around you. Because it is the fuel that will drive you, and help keep your confidence, and also help others in pursuit of their own need to be free... and their Godgiven passion to live their own dream. Most importantly, keep what is right close to your heart with integrity and honour, and love your neighbour despite what he or she may be going through and acting like. Because it is a discouragement to many a peoples growth when we allow ourselves to become bitter, especially our own. So rather love and learn and grow into not becoming offended by anothers actions. But rather seeing what it really is... A need for further growth. Never gossip. Never complain. And keep only before your eyes what is right. And with good attitude, press on. |
