Bryant opted to enter the NBA draft directly out of high school, following in the footsteps of 1995 first-round pick Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bryant averaged 30.8 points, 12 rebounds, 6.5 assists, four steals and 3.8 blocks per game as a senior, as Lower Merion took the Class AAAA state title with a 31-3 record. He finished as the all-time leading scorer in Southeastern Pennsylvania history with 2,883 career points which is 524 more than Wilt Chamberlain, who is third on the list. |
