LATEST NEWS I just got a new car!! I love it!! I've never had a new car before and it's wonderful! It's a dark blue 2000 Dodge Durango Sport. It's perfect for travel and for my lugging around everything I need for my business. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to take a road trip, go camping, and go to the drive-in with it. The seats fold down flat & it would be so comfy to throw a bunch of pillows and blankets back there & open up the back to watch a movie! WHAT ELSE IS NEW My best friend, Faye, and I started our own business! It's a lingerie store online and we do local lingerie parties. It's been a lot work, but really fun and exciting! So far it's working out great! Our corporation name is Santa Cruz Elegance Inc., but we do business as Un-Dressed. Check out our website at www.Un-Dressed.com! My brother, Justin, designed it! It looks great! Faye and I have been very busy over the past year creating our business plan, filing our paperwork, and learning to manage our business. I see her more than anyone I know, even my husband! We decided to start the business because we are both tired of working for other people at corporate jobs doing things we are not passionate about. We wanted jobs that we would love and the freedom to make our own decisions. We are both hoping that this will become our full time jobs eventually and bring us enough financial security to be able to afford homes in Santa Cruz County. The reason we chose lingerie is because, like all girls, we love it! And there is a significant lack of quality and variety in this Area. We went to the LA Market in January and discovered how many thousands of items we had to choose from and our biggest problem was narrowing it down to what we could afford to carry first! It has been so much fun learning about our products and how the fashion industry works as well as learning about all the overwhelming aspects of building and running a business. The best part for me so far has been meeting so many new people and how much encouragement everyone has given me! Even total strangers! And with our lingerie parties, I have made tons of new friends in town! Faye & I have also joined the Santa Cruz Junior Chamber of commerce so we can make more connections as well as get involved with our community. We are planning to give a percentage of our profits to the Susan B. Kommen foundation which is an organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer, but we wanted to get more involved then that. It's been a lot of fun! They have meeting once a month and get together for fun and events. I like it a lot! I GOT HITCHED! I'm sure you already know, but I got Married on June 19th, 2004! I had the most beautiful wedding and Jay & I went to Kawai for a week for our honeymoon! It was wonderful! I want to go back and live there! Married life has been great! We have so much fun together! We've been through a lot of stress and hardships over the year, but it's only brought us closer & made our relationship that much stronger. I can't believe it's almost been a year since the wedding! Our very 1st anniversary is coming up soon! How exciting! We are planning on staying overnight in a B&B somewhere up the coast. We haven't thought it all out yet.
