| James 1:22-25(NIV) tells us, "Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. DO WHAT IT SAYS. (23) Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror (24) and after looking at himself, goes away and IMMEDIATELY forgets what he looks like. (25) But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, AND CONTINUES TO DO THIS, not forgetting what he has heard, BUT DOING IT-HE WILL BE BLESSED BY WHAT HE DOES." James went on to say in 2:17, that "faith without works is DEAD." From the convicting and challenging message of these two scriptures, Live the Truth Ministries was created. In September of 1997, Rev. Kevin G. Swann founded an online ministry via email. The first message of God's Word reached 3 people, all of which were family members. Today, the email ministry has reached more than 150 people worldwide. The mission of Live the Truth Ministries is simple: 1) To share the Truth of God's Word. 2) To help people fall in love with Christ over and over again. 3) To challenge Christians to act on their faith, instead of just knowing scripture. 4) To expose people to the lies that Satan has told us, so that bondages can be broken. 5) To unleash the powerful weapons that EVERY Christian possesses: prayer, fasting, testimonies and God's Word.
