Valentines Day
As you know, Valentines Day is just around the corner on February 14th. We have a variety of fun activieties for the students. Elementary are going to be making valentine pouches to hold all of thier cards that they will recieve during thier valentine exchange.Also, some classes will be having a party to celebrate this holiday. The Jr.High will be having a dance for the last two periods of the day. each student will pick a piece of paper out of a hat, each resembling a broken half of a heart, boys will get one half, and girls will get the other. Then, each student will find the person who has the other half of thier heart, and they will be partners for the dance.
Ski Trip
The Lloyd Garrison Stuents' Union is planning the annual Jr.High ski trip to Whispering Pines Ski Hill in Worsley for February 10th, weather permitting. The bus will be leaving the school at 8:45am and returning at approximately 6:00PM. All parents are welcome to accompany either on the bus or in private vehicles.
In order to meet the
Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools all students who are first time skiers/snowboarders
MUST take lessons. An instructor at the hill will asses all students, in order to determine thier ability level. All students deemed novice or of questionable will be required to take a lesson, before being allowed to ski independantly.
