Our Club Mortimer Cricket Club is a friendly village club with friendly players. We run one sunday team which plays in a Sunday league and also plays alot of friendly games. We go on tour at the start of the cricket season to Sidmouth for 2 pre season games. We are always looking for more players to join out friendly team, we have a variety of different aged players in out team and are looking for younger players to come in as well as experinced players. Ground Our picturesque ground is located in a quiet rural setting within easy reach of the M3 & M4, equidistant between Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke. It boasts a high quality square prepared with loving care by our players. We also take care of out outfield which is one of the largest around this area. For the children there is a fully enclosed playground nearby with swings, slide climbing frame etc. There is also 2 tennis courts for the older children as well as room to play numerous ball games. Pavillion We have a medium size pavillion with basic facilities, we have medium sized changing rooms with shower and toilet facilities. We also have a kitchen area in which we prepare traditional afternoon cricket teas. We are hoping sometime this year or next year to have a brand new state of the art pavillion with indoor net available. Just over the road from us is the 'Horse and Groom' pub. We go over they after the game for a chat and drink.
