The Philippine Elementary and Secondary Schools Table Tennis Association, PHESSTTA is a private non-profit organization founded in 1999 by Boanerges "Jun" Amon during the Palarong Pambansa Table Tennis Competition aimed as an extention of then Department of Education Culture and Sports in promoting table tennis in schools and its surounding communities on a higher level. It was originaly formed by Palarong Pambansa Table Tennis Umpires, Coaches and School Heads from different regions of the Philippine archipelago with a common desire to learn and develop their skills in table tennis while serving their respective locations through the PHESSTTA program. It is hoped that with this site in place more information can be shared for the benefit of the Filipino school children and teachers who love playing, coaching and teaching the sport of table tennis. As the first and only Filipino school sport association, it will serve as an avenue for national and international table tennis links and resources. We dream that one day with the continued cooperation and efforts of the PHESSTTA members and it's supporters , our national table tennis champions will carry the Olympic torch with pride and glory as a Filipino and as our model leaders of tomorrow.
