| December 1st 2004 - Farewell |
| Site News: |
I'm not updating QKoRn MuSic anymore obviously. The truth is this: you want music news, you can get it elsewhere. Oh, and my songs? I hate 99% of them now. They are immature, they are terribly structured, and I want to bury my past. With exceptions to the last few and a select couple from the early days, ignore them. My work is much better and I hope to start writing again soon. I want to focus on my book from now on. My musical interest in being a vocalist is weaker now. I would LOVE to become one, but it's just not going to happen. Well farewell and be sure to visit my site and livejournal for news.

--------------Kittie----------------Kittie Killed in Fatal Electric Shock Accident...almost
Canadian metal band Kittie recently shot their music video for the new track "Into The Darkness" - and they almost stopped there. 'A huge pool that was to be suspended in the air exploded, sending around 600 gallons of water gushing on to the soundstage where the band was just completing a live segment. The soundstage was full of lights, electrical equipment, the bands gear, and a couple dozen people'. Morgan Lander (lead vocals/guitar) nearly escaped with her life. I knew right away what had happened and all I could think of was to get the hell out of there, she said. There were hundreds of thousands of volts in there, with the lights and the cameras, and I was most concerned with electrocution." Morgan's sister and fellow Kittie drummer Mercedes Lander was quoted saying: After the power was shut off, I went back to the studio and found the whole sound stage and my drums in two inches of water, Im just really happy no one got hurt.
On June 19th, you can catch Kittie on Headbanger's Ball as they debut their video for "Into The Darkness". Kittie's new album "Until the End" is set to hit stores
July 27th.

--------------Ray Charles----------------Charles Dies At Age 73
Legendary R&B, Rock & Roll singer/songwriter Ray Charles passed away this past Thursday due to liver disease. Charles is known for 1961's "Unchain My Heart" and 1962's "I Can't Stop Loving You", 1959's "What'd I Say". Charles broke racist barriers during his time period, jumping into different genres never touched before. To many he is considered one of the most daring musicians ever.
Stevie Wonder expressed great concern. "It's with a broken heart [that I learn] we have physically lost Ray Charles," Wonder said Thursday at a Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in New York. "It's a relief knowing that he is not going to suffer anymore. It's a celebration to know that death can never, ever kill the genius of Ray Charles. He has left a legacy that will outlive all of us here and beyond, and that is an incredible feat. Whatever it is that I can do to perpetuate and preserve his greatness, that's what I will do."

--------------Creed----------------Creed Unfold After A Near Decade
One of the biggest mainstream rock bands in recent memory split up earlier this month. Creed (who formed in 1995) split over creative differences. 'The trouble wasn't that the collaborative couple. Mark Tremonti (guitarist) was responsible for the music, Stapp for the lyrics. They were clashing creatively. Personal issues, mostly between Stapp and the rest of Creed, caused an irreparable rift that ultimately led to the band's demise.'
"Scott and I hadn't been close for a while," Tremonti said, "and things just weren't working out. ... None of us really argued amongst each other. It was always Scott who had the problem."

"The Blister Exists" (ALBUM RIP)

Those last two songs are exclusives here hosted by me for QKoRn MuSic. "Circle" is amazing, I recommend you, your grandma, and your mom to download this song. It's NOTHING LIKE YOU'VE HEARD FROM KNOT, SO OPEN YOUR MIND. Don't go into this album if you're wanting the same sound. If you're one of those over wieght, computer nerd fans who only like it "hard", don't even download or buy the new album. Bands grow...
The new cd leaked online last week, and has become difficult to find. I know where it leaked, but I don't want people burning the album and not buying it so I only hosted a few tracks. It comes out May 25th, which is a week away. Jesus, this album is awesome. CIRCLE! CIRCLE! CIRCLE!

--------------System Of A Down----------------News on the new System
System of a Down are getting ready to record a new album (they are currently in the late stages of pre-production).
"Expect the material to be something different, guitarist Daron Malakian explains, "Two or three years ago, Serj and I knew that we wanted something different for this album, and one of the reasons for releasing 'Steal This Album!' was to close the book on all of those songs and move on. The whole world's gone crazy over the past couple of years, so that's brought out a lot of emotions and affected our songwriting. We just want to make a great rock record, a record that will be heavy, but heavy in emotion, not just heavy in riffs."
SOAD have been writing and rehearsing since January and plan to begin their recording sessions early this summer. Expect it to drop in late 2004.

--------------A Perfect Circle----------------The Outsider Video
I know this is kinda old, but I figured I'd post this crazy/sexy video here. Not what you'd expect from an intellectual band, but pretty cool nevertheless. Release "Blue" next! Please!

--------------Michael Jackson----------------Jackson faces ANOTHER charge
Jackson, who already faces child-molestation charges in California, is now being slapped with new allegations that he molested another child now an 18-year-old man in the late 1980s, according to Reuters.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed the investigation to reporters, but would not discuss details of the case. The Los Angeles Police Department reportedly began investigating the allegations after receiving a tip from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. The LAPD told Reuters that the incident allegedly occurred in Los Angeles in the late '80s, and that their Juvenile Division, Child Protection Section, is investigating the claims.
Jackson's attorney, Mark Geragos, defended his client, telling Reuters, "It appears to be nothing more than part of an ongoing campaign to smear Michael with unfounded, scurrilous and ridiculous accusations, and we fully intend to find out who's behind it and take the appropriate actions."

--------------Orgy----------------Here it is: PUNK STATIK PARANOIA!
Orgy's third album (4 years since their last one), Punk Statik Paranoia, will be hitting stores on Februrary 24th. I must say I like what I hear so far. The first single, "The Obvious", is really catchy after a few listens. It takes awhile, so give them a chance. They sound like nothing else, so Jay's voice may seem a little off. Anyway, Orgy has put up it's brand new website and they have the entire album in mp3 clips. They also have thier past two efforts under the "Orgy Player". The site is looking great, and I suggest you check these guys out while they still keep a low profile. Well I have a bunch of stuff today. I'm posting the link to hear all of Orgy's music from PSP, Candyass, and Vapor Transmission, and ALSO offering you guys a sticker. I'm on Orgy's street team, and I'll be getting stickers , so if you want one, just talk to me.
