Sorry to be abrupt but would you please cast your mind back a few years!! Boxing!! Boxing  ....................Names from the past!! Those were the days!!!- - - - - - - - - - - - - -seems like light years away!!! McCusker....Whyte....McGlinchey....Smith....Ogg (Professionals)...Murphy....Timoney.... Innes....Hughes....Dunne (Amateurs)....Does anyone remember the Grove Stadium in Glasgow where professional boxing contests were held weekly during 1942 to 1947? Do the following names "tweak" the memory???... Jock McCusker...Willie Whyte...Tommy McGlinchey. Johnny Smith...Billy Ogg...and many others. Or what about the amateurs?... The L.M.S.Rovers club in Glasgow where amateur contests were also held weekly. Do the following names jog the old, and I mean old, brain cells???......Billy Innes..Alex Murphy Dennis Timoney..Harry Hughes....and again many others. Is there anyone around who like myself used to participate and watch these boxers in action many many times? If so, give me a "buzz" on the undernoted e-mail address and let's REMINISCE......
