From,
Ryan P.
First I will tell you about the basic parts of the rocket.
1.the nozzle(top of rocket) releses the recovery system
2. recovery system (parachute, streemer ect.)
3. body
4.fins(little things that stick out at the bottom)help guide rocket
5.engine holder
6. engine(look below for more info) lifts rocket and releases the recovery system.
7.ingniter when press the lanch button it heats which gets the engine going
Engine code
Example: C5-3
The letter C tells us that thats how powerful the rocket is and how much fuel is in the engine. The power of a rocket is measured in a system called newtons a C rocket can prouduce a range from 5.01 to 10.00 of newtons per second. This is called the total impulse.
The number 5 tells us the averege amount of netwons it proudeces in one second(not positive) This is called an averege thrust.
The number 3 tells us the number of seconds when the motor runs out of fuel and the recovery system is sent out. The time when the motor runs out of fuel is called the burnout. This complete time is called the time delay. Between the time of the burn out and the recovery system is sent out is called the coast phase. This helps the rocket reach its peak altiutude.
Thats all the stuff I have to say for now.(Remember any rocket questions you can ask me at school)
