Acceleration is a concept not very hard to understand. This Webpage is designed to give more information on this topic and formulas and examples to help you understand it.
When you are trying to find the acceleration of something there are some key things you should understand:
1)Acceleration depends on the speed of an object and the time of the object.
To find acceleration you take the final speed-starting speed/the change in time
2)Acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s/s
Example - A Bunny Rabbit starts hopping at a speed of 0m/s and over a period of 10 minutes it gets up to 12m/s. So, you would take the final speed (12) - the starting speed (0) and divide that by the change in time, which is 10. The acceleration of the bunny rabbit was 1.2m/s/s. |
