Intro

William Shakespeare was a playwriter and a poet. He wrote many sonnets and plays such as "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet". He was born on April 23, 1564, in Warwickshire, England. His parents were John Shakespeare and Mary Alden. He had 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He later married Anne Hathaway in 1582. She bore a daughter,Susanna and twins, Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died. He became an actor in 1591 and wrote his sonnets 1598. His poems were not published until 1609. Shakespeare died in 1616, on the same day he was born.

William Shakespere was born to John Shakespeare and mother Mary Arden in April 1564, his birthday was not recorded but his baptism was recorded by the church causing scholars to belive his birth day is the 23 of April. His father was a alderman in his home-town, Stratford-upon-Avon and was later granted a coat of arms by the College of Heralds.

His Youth...

Not much is known of Shakesperes youth. He PRESUMABLY attended the Startford Grammar School and did not proceed to Oxford or Cambridge. All other records are lost. The next record we have of him is his marrige to Anne Hathaway in 1582.
