| David Copperfield is an illusionist from not so long ago. The height of his career being in the 1980s-1990s, he is still an American idol. Not many of his tricks were 'ordinary.' Infact, they were quite the opposite. Some of these acts are a bit weird and supposedly dangerous, but that was what David Copperfield was about. Some of his acts included:
In 1981 first came is big illusion. This time he vanised an entire jet aeroplane. Next time (1983)was something much more appealing (and deceiving) to audience members- dissapearing the Statue of Liberty. So, yes, it must be possible. He did this infront of a large crowd outside of the statue and an audience of fifty million watching on television.
Afterwards in 1984 he levitated himself along the top of the United States of America's Grand Canyon(which in American terms is 217miles.) In 1992, he became the first illusionist to fly without the help of aids(string, etc.) or without any 'camera tricks.' Devoloping this trick took about seven years before he could perform it to anyone. Now in 1986 came another 'big' David Copperfield moment, walking right through the middle of the Great Wall of China. |
