*A good tip for this code would be to pick Pikachu when choosing a pokemon. This way, the game will think its pokemon yellow and make pikachu grow more in level because it's ID number is different from the other pokemon's number. Be carefu lwith this code because if a pokemon growns more rapidly too early in the game, it could ignore you in battle...... so watch out for it. If this does happen, make sure you have a gameshark with you to catch one of the 3 pokemon that are originally start in the game. Also to use this code, you need to start a new game and you pick the pokemon.

Pokemon Gold Tricks:
1. When capturing pokemon, you may notice they are alittle difficult to catch than in Pokemon blue, but there is one sure way to increase your chances. When u throw the pokeball and it explodes, hold down B and the down button on your gameboy. This can work if done at the exact time.
2. When fighting Elite four Will for the first time, to increase your chances in winning, use a water pokemon that knows SURF, an umbreon to prevent any psychic attacks from hurting you, or anypokemon that knows Thunder,Ice and Fire punch. This way they will be easily defeated. This technique can be used with all of the Elite Four.
3. Wanna a split pokemon that is part Pinsir and part Kabuto? This is how you do it. With your ganeshark, obtain the codes for catching pinsir and kabuto. then on a bug catching day use the gameshark to catch a kabuto with unlimited masterballs. to make sure it works correctly, obtain the code to make pokemon you catch shiny or a different colour. then turn the gameshark off and find a pinsir. You'll notice u will have kabuto still with you. Go back and exit the contest. Remember this trick of this. In order to get this odd pokemon of 2 species, make sure u carry 6 pokemon in your party so when u get pinsir back both pinsir and kabuto will turn into one pokemon.....with pinsir's name or kabuto's name. when in battle, it'll look like pinsir but outside battle it'll look like kabuto. You can try this trick with any two species of pokemon.
4. I have noticed the flaw in breeding pokemon. Seems like if you breed any pokemon that are compatible with each other, when the egg produced hatches, the biological mother of the hatched pokemon seems to be always the same breed as the baby born. This can be a problem for some people in the game so the best trick would be catch a ditto and put it in the daycare ASAP. then when u want a pokemon to breed all it needs to do is to breed with ditto and you will get the species or evoultion you want from the other pokemon and not the ditto. It will be either male or female......and depending on the species of pokemon, it will take time to hatch the egg so take good care of it.
5. Another problem you encounter is where can you get a lapras? Well the only way ot get a lapras in the game is to go to Union cave on a friday and look for a lower part of the cave....like a stairway. after you find the path, have a pokemon with you that knows SURF and surf to the right of the water you see on the screen. You should a blue lapras figure in the water. Talk to the figure to go into a pokemon battle. The lapras will be at level 20 so if you have gone far enough in the game to have pokemon that are in the level 50s and 60s, you may have to use the gameshark to get some masterballs so you won't harm the lapras. Also if you want a shiny lapras, obtain the code to make all pokemon shiny and use it in the game.
6. You probably have the code for pokemon gold to steal another trainer's pokemon. There is a flaw that you may encounter using the code. Yes, this code will help you get poke you dont have in the game get it, but when you do catch the pokmon you may notice the pokemon will have no attacks to fight with. The only attack that all pokemon have as a default attack is called Struggle. This attack will hurt both you and your opponent. To prevent this either carry codes that will insure your pokemon will have some attacks. Another option is to capture or steal another trainer's pokemon very early in the game. When you capture another person's pokemon early in the game, it shows the low level the pokemon like level 5 or 10. This way when it evoles into its next stage, it will also insure your pokedex will be more complete. Keep this in mind.
7. Beating the Elite four in pokemon gold may be difficult when trying it for the first time, especially when you are not familiar with the games pokemon red and blue. If you are a starter in pokemon game, and u have gotten far enough to fight the elite four, the best way to go and win would be have a pokemon that is between the levels 40- 100. This will give you a higher advantage. Another trick for a starter would be choose a part of pokemon that have the highest HP and PP out of all of the ones you possess. Also have a variety of elements in your party, and have 1-3 pokemon that has the attacks thunder, fire and ice punch. Yes I know each attack only has 15PP, but the damage is consider moderate to high depending on what pokemon from the elite four you face. The best element team would be fire, water, psychic, grass, dark and dragon. These pokemon tricks will help if you are a starter world to the world of pokemon and gamesharks. This is also handy when you do not own a game advancer like a gameshark or the rare game genie.
8. If you looking to buy a gameshark to use on any game including pokemon gold, it is wise to choose your purchase carefully. The best version of the product gameshark that is out right now is Gameshark version 3.1. This newer model of version 3.0 is less likely to erase games to bugger up the current you have now. I know from experience. My friend had the 3.0, and during the game, her game froze. When she turned it back on, her whole game was erased, and her version of pokemon red was screwed up from then on. I promised myself I wouldn't make the same mistake. The only flaw to version 3.1 is it will temporary disable all cable connected trading and battling in pokemon gold and silver, and for blue and red, it could just slightly freeze the screen, not erase the game, but freezing the screen if the codes are not turned on at the appropriate time. These temporary set backs are not to be alarmed about, and should not be underestimated either. You can get version 3.1 of Gameshark for around $40- $48. Tips and Tricks 4 Pokemon Blue version
1. Have you ever wanted to make blue it was yellow? Here is your chance. First obtain the code to choose any starter pokemon. use the digits makred with XX and change them to pikachu's digits so he will be your first pokemon. Now what you may notice is his ID number does not match with any other pokemon you own. This is because the game has gone into yellow mode, meaning the game thinks this pikachu came from a yellow version or has been traded from another person's game. This can both a good and bad thing. The good thing would be it would gain more experience points and grow faster. The bad thing would be it may not listen to you because it is too early in the game when you get him to get him to obey you. To prevent this from happening also obtain the KO code (the code which makes the enemy pokemon faint) and the enemy level 255 code. This is the easiest way to prevent this and help your pikachu, and other pokemon in your party grow stronger than the other pokemon in the game. |
