Scrying Incense:
3 parts powdered frankincense
1 part powdered sandlewood
1 part powdered patchouli
mix ingredients well in a non metal bowl. burn on incense charcoal in censer while scrying.
Wisdom candle anointing oil:
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon roesmary
10 drops myrrh oil
light colored olive oil to fill jar completely
mix well in an airtight two-ounce jar. turn jar over daily for at least 10 days before using. rub the oil on candle before burning.
Spiral wreath
you will need grapevine(from a craft storeor the wild),spring flowers,(from a florist or the wild),copper wire to hold vine or flowers in place,andheavy objects,like bricks.soak the grapevine in water overnight. shape into a spiraland,using the heavy objects to hold in place,allow to dry 24 hours. weave flowers,symbolic of returning warmth,into grapevine.
kuan-yin purity salt:
1 cup salt
8 drops lotus blossom essence
mix ingredients and sprinkle in the area where divination will take place to purify the space.
Belfire incense:
3 parts lilac flowers
2 parts frankincense
2 parts patchouli
2 pinches ginger root
lilac oil (optional)
grind together,mixing well. toss onto belfires on beltane.
Easy mead:
1 quart dry cider (hard or alcohol-free)
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup sliced citrus fruits
3 (3-inch)cinnamon sticks
combine in a container just large enough to hold everything. seal refrigerate,shaking or stiring daily for 5 days.strain before drinking
Herbal weather spell:
mix together the desired balance of th four elements while visualizing the weather you want.sprinkle outside,in a garden if possible.
Earth- sage
Air- peppermint
Fire- juniper
Water- willow
Sun king anointing oil:
10 drops frankincense oil
10 drops sandalwood oil
3 pinches saffron or safflower
light-colored olive oil to fill jar completely
mix well in an airtight 2 ounce jar. turn jar over once a day for at least 10 days before using.concentrating on the sun,rub the oil on the person or token representing the sun.
Herb broom:
collect handfuls of plants to use in a magic broom such as:
Yarrow,Cedar,Juniper,Fruit tree sprigs,Oak sprigs,Birch or ash sprigs
bundle plants and tie cut ends together. the bundle may be tied to a branch if a longer handle is desired. use to sweep away negative influences
wild hunt talisman:
cedar,sandelwood,wormwood,myrrh
place a pinch of each in a pouch to be worn or carried to attune with the wild hunt.
bath oil for pathworking:
1 1/2 tablespoons patchouli leaf
1 tablespoon bay leaf
1 teaspoon each cinquefoil herb and solomon's seal root
uncented bath oil,jojoba oil,or olive oil
place herbs in a 4 ounce jar, then completely fill jar with oil. cover jar tightly and turn once a day for at least 20 days. add to bath prior to pathworking.
Wassail:
1 gallon cider ( hard or non alcoholic)
6 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons allspice,whole
1 teaspoon each clove and ground nutmeg
tart apples
put clove and allspice in a mesh bag or tea ball. place all ingredients in a large pot and heat until the apples burst.
