Sunfire Romance books were a series of books put out by Scholastic in the mid-1980s. Now, they are out of print and somewhat hard to find. These books involved a girl living during a significant American historical event, whose actions and thoughts were usually ahead of her time. The girl would flop back and forth between well-behaved suitors, until the very end when one won over. These books were designed for tween girls, but I still find them a joy to look through.
