Official Team Roster
6/8/05- Swamp Dragons work out big name free agents. The Swamp Dragons have announced that four free agents will be working out with the team on 6/9/05. The free agents are Garret Anderson, Phil Nevin, Bengie Molina, and Mike MacDougal. There are currently no extra spots on the team roster so it is unclear if any of these players will in fact be signed. Websight investigative Reporter Mike Greenwell was able to contact Bengi Molina. Molina had this to say, "I know its going to be a tough workout, because they have high standards and everything, but I know I have what it takes. I really hope I can play for this team because they are clearly in the elite of the league this year and I think I could help them out a little, I have a ring with the Angels and this one would be even more special, Id sure love to earn a second ring." 6/8/05- Bonderman seen in the Lair. Jeremy Bonderman was seen walking around The Swamp Dragons homefield, The Dragons Lair, earlier today. When asked by Sight reporter Troy O'leary what he was doing at the Lair, located in Northern Wollaston, Bonderman replied, "I just admire the team, facilities, and coaching staff so much. I wanted to see how a first class organization is run. Im not saying I want to be traded or anything, then again, Im not saying I wouldnt mind playing for the Swamp Dragons." Michael Ryan, owner of El Guapo, Bonderman's current team, had this to say, "Im not trading Bonderman. He will be on my team for many years." Ryan then went on to bash Swamp Dragon closer Tyler Walker, and today Swamp Dragon team captain Carlos Zambrano had something to say, "Hey, he doesn't have to trade Bonderman if he doesn't want to. I don't even want him on the team. We are in first place and have good team chemistry. But what Michael Ryan said about Ty(Tyler Walker), thats just out of line. He crossed some boundaries with that one. Im just saying the next time Adam Dunn or Jose Guillen gets up to bat in the Dragon's Lair, they might want to watch their heads. Ryan will think twice next time before insulting my teammates." -story by Brian Rose
