The VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL was founded in 1993 to serve the entire San Fernando Valley and Southern California area. The school is conveniently located in Northridge, CA., in the heart of the San Fernando Valley.

We offer a 1400 square foot facility equiped with workout mats, dressing rooms, lockers, free parking and knowledgable instructors.

ABOUT THE CHIEF INSTRUCTOR:

PROFESSOR DAVID A. BELLMAN, 9th degree black belt, is the Chief Instructor of Jujitsu at the VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL. Professor Bellman began his training in the martial arts back in 1962 and has been teaching jujitsu since 1968.

Professor Bellman is the 1976, 1977, 1990 and 1992 National Jujitsu Black Belt Champion as well as the nine time Southern California Jujitsu Champion. He has appeared as a guest on the MONTEL WILLIAMS SHOW as well as the VICKI SHOW and is an expert in kidnap prevention, rape prevention, self-defense and personal safety. Professor Bellman has taught classes at Pepperdine University as well as Learning Tree University.

ADULT JUJITSU PROGRAM:

Ages: 13 through adult
Dates and Time: Monday and Thursday Evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Saturday mornings, 10:00 - 11:30 AM

We offer a complete, comprehensive jujitsu program taught on an adult level. The emphasis is on self defense, street-jujitsu training. Students practice their techniques with a partner, rather than learning katas (dance-like forms). You know right away whether your techniques works or nots. Because of our large black belt teaching staff and unique way of teaching, the classes is broken down into smaller groups and each smaller group normally has their own instructor during the session. At the VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL we teach a progressive CHILDREN'S JUJITSU PROGRAM designed for kids 5-12 years of age. Our program allows each child to earn colored belt rankings and develop at their own speed. Students develop self-discipline skills, increase their motor skills, learn physical fitness, are taught to control their temper and learn to have and maintain a positive attitude. THE CHILDREN'S JUJITSU PROGRAM meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and Thursdays from 5:15 - 6:15 PM. Family discounts are also available for multi-family members. John Comstock is the instructor of the CHILDREN'S JUJITSU PROGRAM.

IDDY BIDDY MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM:

IDDY BIDDY MARTIAL ARTS is an exciting new program offered at the VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL. The program is specifically designed and offered for youngsters 3-5 years of age. This program is different than any other program you've ever seen. The program combines defensive self defense training with essential kidnap prevention that every parent and child must know.

Unique to this program is the method your child is taught. Each child is given personal, one-on-one attention and works directly with the instructor. this assures quality instruction.

your child will effectively learn a simple method of self defense geared for his or her age level. The techniques are blended with effective kidnap prevention skills and applied right in class. Parent attend along with their young children and participate and learn together. IDDY BIDDY MARTIAL ARTS is a fun way to learn!

NO CONTRACTS OR EXAMINATION FEES:

We've taken all of the hassles out of your training experience at the VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL. There are no contracts and we don't charge our students for promotional examinations. We're interested in the quality of the students that come out of our school, so a person is promoted when they have achieved a certain level. This helps insure quality students all of the time. Isn't that what you're really after?

Best of all, all of the senior black belt instructors at the VALLEY JUJITSU SCHOOL have a minimum of 40 plus years experience EACH in the martial arts. These are all season, professional, experienced instructors that you can count on to enhance your martial arts experience. In addition, we also have a large black belt teaching staff in addition to the senior black belt instructors.
