FUNNY STORY ABOUT SOMETHING I HAVE DONE....OR HAS HAPPENED TO ME.
(Believe me you will want to check back frequently, I have stories to tell about more things that are crazy and have happened to me!!!)
This story is about a ski trip that I will never forget. My sister and I and our boyfriends all decided to take on the hills of Minnesota and try skiing. My sister, her boyfriend and I had never attempted that sport, and after going skiing once, I realized why. We got to the ski hills and put on all our winter wear to battle the hills. My boyfriend and I got on the ski lift first, my sister and her boyfriend followed on the next ski lift. I had never gotten off a ski lift before, and to me it was the scariest thing I had ever tackled. I decided to do what I was told and gracefully slide off the ski lift and try to stay standing. Well, needless to say, that is not what happened. I tried to do as I was told but I leaned forward a bit too much and fell on my fanny. I was on the ground trying to get up when my sister and her boyfriend came behind us and she fell just like I did and her ski went down my ski pants and my bare butt was sitting in the snow. I was so embarrassed, I could have crawled in a corner. After that ordeal my sister and I got up and attempted to go down the bunny hill. We got to the top of the hill and it looked so big to us. We started down the hill on the back of our skis, we were so scared. Then finally we decided to try the skiing the right way and we both went directly for the snow fence in the middle of the hill. The fence had magnetism or something because we went directly into that fence and were tangled up and we couldn't get out. We were hysterical looking and all the people in the ski lift were directly above us looking down and laughing and asking if we were ok. We were stuck but we didn't want any help, we were both too embarrassed to ask for help. When we finally got untangled we decided to try the rest of the hill - actually we could not wait to get off the hill and go to the chalet, we realized that skiing was not our sport. We started down the remains of the hill and we had great speed, but we realized at that point that we had never really been told how to stop. There was a pole directly ahead of us, my sister went for that and I went for the snow bank. My sister got to the pole and grabbed it as hard at she could and went around and around that pole about 4 times and then she fell. I went into the snow bank and my skis got stuck. We felt like we were the comedy act of the ski hills for that day and never tried that again. But it does give us something to laugh about.
