| Out of the Woodwork Run! Or Thai One On On! April 30th, 2006. Hares: Scorecard & Leaky Faucet. They came in droves as Citra Smell Ya had promised a homemade Thai spread ... of food that is (: .... for this one......not to mention that she wasn't far from the real one by the end of the night! .... With Scorecard and Leeky Faucet having laid out the run you kinda wondered who would be leading who...ON! ON!...kinda the olde blind leading the blind deal. A whole roll of plastic ribbon Scorecard promised was out there on the trail....Not to mention the few strands that were up his ass me no questions above the beer stop. ...What's with the Laker Beer!!! .... ya think this is Pittsburg or Hogtown! ... Doooh! ...we really still do think about you wankers!!!!! .... (: Even so ...it was A good day for some cold ones, a Thai Food spread and a little sprinkle of rain to cool one off and a renewance of some olde aquaintances and wankers! Hey even Mother & Sex & Ate came for the Grub..."Sure Beats take Out" Sex was heard to say! or even Taco Bell eh Sex.... "Run for the border!" buddy! ON! ON! .... See ya at the next one eh! | It's the: Water, water every where Run. |
| . Date: Saturday Sept. 13. Location: Perch Creek Conservation. Hares: Scorecard, Goeye and Road Kill. Scribe: Gypsy. ****************************** Driving out to the run site in poring rain pretty well assured me that there would not be a run today. In fact I was so confident that I didn't even bother to "dress" for it. That is no long pants or rain gear. So all I was hoping for the hares to announce that todays run would be held indoors at some nearby pub but wrong again. There was Scorecard prancing around proudly showing of his Run One t-shirt from 1988. Somehow he made it fit.Also already there was the other hare Goeye (Roadkill never did show up, likely because he knew how wet and muddy it was going to be) plus IneedA and Lobotomy. More mindless people filtered in while every one attempted to get as wet inside as we where already outside. Lucky for me, I found an umbrella in the car. Nice to see several 'returners' including Lazyboy and St.Dickaless who brought his son Beaver Checker who was about knee high when he hashed the last time, likely 10 years ago. He brought two buddies who later on would come in handy as they consistantly ran all the false trails for the rest of us. Introductions all around and we are away. To where ? Even the start was a falsie! Back to start all over and almost immediatly we are in ankle deep water and mud. This pretty well describes the entire run except that the ankle deep turned to waste deep in places except when I slipped and fell at one of the creek crossings. The umbrella was now rather useless. Good beer stop location right after the second creek, where David, who ran in flipflops needed the help of several to get up the very muddy and slippery banks. More water, more mud for the next 30 minutes and after arriving back in the car park, the hares decided to move the down downs to Leaky Faucet's garage. Good call. Down Downs and songs of course to the hares, new boots Dan and Brian, returners Lazyboy, Beaver Checker and St.Dickaless and others I can't remember. Other participants: Leaky Faucet, Citra Smella, ClingNSeal and White Chocolate. |
